Past Faces and Places

Congratulations Jim Law on graduating from Northland!

This past weekend most of my family and I went to Wisconsin for Northland's graduation. I must admit I hadn't been there in a few years. Going to Northland always feels like I am going home. Ever since living at Northland for 3 1/2 years when I was a teenager and my dad was finishing college, and then attending college there for 3 years myself, it has always held a special place in my heart. So many of my favorite memories are from there.

Saturday night was pretty much a reunion. Jim's open house was held at their place and my parents made 20 of the famous Pagano Pizza for this event. Of course, word got out that we were having homemade pizza. I can't believe how grown up so many of the faculty and staff kids are! We saw the Kryzwicki's. I really only remember Aaron, the eldest. He just finished 4 years in the military and is home for a few weeks before he moves to Seattle to start a new job.

Mom Noonan and Andrew Noonan came to pick up Jeremiah from college. Jeremiah is so grown up. Andrew is now 17! The Noonan family was probably the closest family to ours when we lived there. Anytime we went back to Northland to visit we stayed with the Noonans. They would pull out the old pop-up camper in their driveway for all of us kids to stay in.

The Kimbroughs stopped by for a while. I used to teach Jared in Sunday School when he was 5 - he is now 12 and taller than me!

I also saw old friends from college days. Bryce Clingerman's sister was graduating so I was able to catch up with him.

Don and Christine Rice were also there to see Don's brother graduate.

I hate that we are all separated now, but I am so thankful for the times when our paths cross and we are able to catch up from where we left off.

I am sorry, but I have no idea who the Heather above is. What is your last name?

Heather Watson! Now I realize who you are. I found your web page too. Good to hear from you. I didn't realize Kelli (Clingerman) was your sister-in-law and that your brother's name was Heston.

Sorry I didn't clearify who I was! I found your blog through Shyla's awhile ago. I thought that I had posted comments before, but I guess not. :)

Yes Heston is my brother and that obviously makes Kelli my sister-in-law. :)

You look like a great aunt!!!

Kelli,

I saw you too, but with all the chaos didn't get to say hi either. I think that is not a great picture of Bryce and I. Of course Bryce looks great, but I look like a wet rat. It always has to rain on graduation day! It was good to see old friends again. I saw Bryce last summer at Janelle (Patz) Johnson's wedding too.

I still think you look great - I like your hair style. It probably just didn't look like you are used to it looking when it doesn't RAIN on your hair! Tell me about it, my hair was so frizzy that day becaus all of the rain. Good old Northland Graduation!
