Blessing in Disguise

Some of you know this, some of you don't. Our house was broken into 3 days before Christmas. It isn't a shock in the neighborhood we live in. I had over $1,500 in cameras and accessories that was stolen. The picture in My Profile shows one of the cameras I used to own. Praise the Lord that I was babysitting 4 young children the night before we were robbed, and it slipped my mind to bring my Canon AE-1 camera that my parents gave me a few years ago for Christmas, home from my sister's house next door. That was the one sentimental camera that I would have been sad losing. Well, after the deductible, insurance gave me less than half to cover the camera items. I had been wanting to trade in a few of my nicer cameras for a digital camera anyways, so it really was a blessing in disguise. As are all things the Lord allows to happen in our lives. I finally got my new camera! It is a Canon Digital Rebel XT. It has 8 mega pixels and is pretty sweet! I am so excited to learn more about photography now.
