Busy Weekend

This past weekend was very busy! Friday night, Karise and I went with my brother-in-law Dan, sister Evedna and some of Dan's family, to see the play "The Gospel According to Scrooge". It is "A Christmas Carol" done with a Christian perspective.

They did a good job. Saturday afternoon All Nations Baptist Church held its 2nd annual Gingerbread House competition. Karise and I did not place, but had fun building ours.

(We wanted to be able to see inside our house)

(Our house is the front right one)

Saturday night a group of about 9 of us went to see "White Christmas on Broadway" in St. Paul. It was excellent! Though anybody who knows me, knows how much I LOVE Broadway shows. They had us sing White Christmas along with them, and even had it snow over the audience at the end. That is the only snow we have had in Mpls so far. There is none on the ground yet!

Sunday morning during the worship service, my family sang - despite most of us having colds. After church, during the Sunday School hour, our SS children performed their Christmas play. It was such exhausting work with months of effort and was over in about 2o minutes!

Sunday night our church gathered at my parent's house to Christmas Carol in our neighborhood. We had about 3 people come to the door. The sad thing was we could see people in the window just sitting on their couches ignoring us! We had fun though and that is what matters!

Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. It's nice to hear from you on my blog. I like your idea to do the inside of a gingerbread house. Maybe Scott and I should try that next Christmas.
So are you still planning on going with with your brother to Mongolia?
